Carter, William "Bud" Hass Sr.

LAWNDALE - Mr. William "Bud" Hass Carter Sr., 69, of 4423 Hoover Road, died Tuesday, July 
11, 2000, at his home. 

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charlie Lee and Della Estelle 
Ramsey Carter. He was a retired fixer from C & N Rug Company and was a member of Word of 
Life Baptist Church. He served in the Army and National Guard. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances White. 

He is survived by a son, Billy Carter Jr. of Lawndale; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and 
Scott Lovelace of Shelby; four brothers, Jim Carter of Shelby, David Carter of Lattimore, 
Tom Carter of Spartanburg, S.C., and John Carter of Hickory Grove, S.C.; five sisters, 
Martha Bridges of Lawndale, Betty Jane Champion of Cherryville, Eloise Dysart of Mooresboro, 
Virginia Foster of Swainsville and Joyce Huber of New House; four grandchildren, Danyeal 
Emory, Brandy Bradley, Michael Carter and Chris Dixon; and one great-grandchild, Kelli 
Bradley. 

A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. 
Calvin Morrison officiating. 

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. 

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home and at other times 
at the home of Susan and Scott Lovelace, 812 McGowan Road, Shelby.
