Dezzie Ellen Cook Lowman

CASAR — Mrs. Dezzie Ellen Cook Lowman, 91, of 239 Wes Cook Road, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 4, 1911, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Wessley Arron Cook and Emma Lou Blackburn Cook. She retired from Hickory Manufacturing as a sander. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Will Lowman; five brothers, Crawford Cook, McKennly Cook, Brodus Cook, Moody Cook and Minniefee Cook; and a sister, Bertha Cook Warlick.

She is survived by her caretakers, Lunette and Carl Cook of Casar; and a number of stepchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church with Dr. Ernest Speagle officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Stamey Funeral Home of Fallston is in charge of arrangements.
