Bessie Irene Cooke Meade Warlick

LAKE BLUFF, Ill. - Mrs. Bessie Irene Cooke Meade Warlick, 87, of 700 Jenkisson Ave., died 
Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, at Pebble Brook Nursing Center.

A native of Cleveland County, she was born April 9, 1915, a daughter of the late Aaron Lee 
and Hattie Wray Cooke. She was retired from public work and was a member of St. Paul Baptist  Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ley Roy Meade; 
her second husband, Roy Warlick; three sons, Ray Meade, Ralph Meade and Carrolle Meade; four  brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by two sons, William Steve Meade of Houston and Jack Meade of Lake Bluff, 
Ill.; a daughter, Ruth Chisholm of Waukegan, Ill; two brothers, Aaron Cook of Hickory and 
Claude Cook of Casar; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church with Dr. Ernest W. 
Speagle officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the church.
