Nellie Sue Elmore Cartee
BESSEMER CITY — Mrs. Nellie Sue Elmore
Cartee, 66, of 523 E. Ohio Ave., died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at Gaston
Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Cleveland County and was the daughter of the late Johnny
Broadus and Gladys Johnson Elmore and was employed by Carolina Mills,
Lincolnton.
She is survived by her husband, Perry Cartee; sons, John Johnson and wife,
Cathy, of Shelby and Michael Cartee and wife, Sherry, of Cherryville; daughter,
Shirley Cartee Dickson and husband, Mark, of Clover, S.C.; daughter-in-law,
Teirny Cartee of Bessemer City; brothers, Bob Elmore of Lawndale and Jimmy
Elmore of Shelby; sisters, Joanne Nalley of Casar, Janice Thompson of Fallston
and Elaine Elmore of Shelby; grandchildren, Perry Wayne Russell, Shane and Todd
Johnson and Scottie Cartee; and great-grandchildren, Cody, Dillon and Isaiah
Johnson.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel with
the Rev. Gene Grigg officiating.
Interment will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
