Agnes Aileen Wellmon Hamrick
SHELBY — Mrs. Agnes Aileen Wellmon Hamrick, 86, of 404 Poplar
Springs Church Road, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at White Oak Manor in Kings
Mountain.
She was born in Cleveland County to the late Henry and Maudie Wellmon. She was a
retired seamstress and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John W.
Hamrick and four brothers, Thurmon, Clay, Everette and Worth Wellmon and their
wives.
She is survived by a daughter, Louise Hamrick Linnens and husband Mackie of
Shelby; brother Jack Wellmon of Shelby; brother-in-law, James Hamrick of Shelby;
four sisters-in-law; Mattie and Gladys Wellmon and Sarah and Daphene Hamrick,
all of Shelby; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with
Dr. Rick Prassel and the Rev. James Richardson officiating. Burial will follow
in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
